Darkness 69 On December - 13 - 2006

Jyrki 69 was recently awarded for his work with UNICEF by the Junior Chamber International (JCI):

During the JCI World Congress in Seoul, Korea, at The Outstanding Young Persons of the World (TOYP) Ceremony on November 13, 2006, Jyrki Pekka Emil Linnankivi from Finland was awarded as a 2006 TOYP Honoree. A distinguished jury selected him from among numerous nominees in the category of “Humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership“.
Through his civil work and music and as the first Finnish Goodwill Ambassador to meet international standards, Linnankivi has gained visible results as a spokesman for children’s rights.

Anniversary update

The Bosnian Cave of the Helsinki Vampires,
the one and only,
is celebrating it’s first year anniversary!!!
As we enter our second year,
we wish to thank all of you for your dark support!!!

+The new single “Perfect Skin” you can listen here!!!
The release will be end of this year or in January 2007 depending on the country.
Aside the aforementioned song, on the single will also be live versions of “Devils”, “Christina Death”
and “I Just Want to Have Something to Do” (orig. by the Ramones) recorded at the sold-out Whisky A Go-Go show
in Hollywood in March 2006. Video for “Perfect Skin” was shot under the helm of Ralf Strathmann
in the mid October in Hollywood.

+”Route 69″, Ville Juurikkala’s captured 69 Eyes tour moments is out
since the 6th November on Finnish, while the English version will follow in winter/spring next year.

+Jyrki was DJing again at Nocturnal Models Halloween Ball in Stockholm the past weekend,
on November 4th. He also spent a week fulfilling his UNICEf goodwill ambassador duties in Kenya
in early October, but of corpse, he went back to Helsinki to work on the upcoming album “Angels”,
which will come out early 2007.
